Minutes for March 20, 2019
Meeting Called to Order – 7:10 pm
Moment of Silence – Vice-Chairperson Brevard
Determination of Quorum and Introductions– Commissioner Brevard- Attendance Met
Motion to Approve the Meeting Agenda-Motion was made by Commissioner Brevard to accept the meeting agenda. Motion passed collectively by the Commission.
Reading of the January 2019 Minutes. There was no February 2019 meeting due to the weather- The reading was waived and a motion was made by Commissioner Brevard to accept the report. Motion passed collectively by the Commission.
Reading of the Treasury Report – Reading of the Treasury Reports dating back to 2017 was conducted by Commissioner Montague. Motion was made by Commissioner Montague to accept the reports and the motion passed collectively by the Commission. Comment was made to the Treasurer to have our checks reflect our new Post Office Box.
Reimbursements- Commissioner Brevard was provided payment for Secretarial expenses in two checks amounting to $68.86. The payment came out of the fiscal year 2018-2019 ANC 5C Secretary Budget.
5C01: Catholic Charities Solar Array-2800 Otis Street, NE. The Commission tabled this matter in order to do additional research in the affects this major project would have on the well-being of the community.
5C07: BZA Case 19957 2429 Girard Place NE. Motion was made by Commissioner Montague to oppose this request and it passed collectively by the Commission.
Community Announcements: The floor was open to all who wanted to speak regarding their community activities and events. Representatives from the Offices of the Mayor and Councilmember McDuffie spoke briefly.
Motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Manning. Next meeting is set for April 17, 2019
